Spent my birthday shooting this video with my closest friends. Hope you like it!
Sorry I havent posted in a while but Ive been very busy. Personal projects are going great and one of them should be ready to see the light of day soon. In other news I started at ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) 2 weeks ago and its been going great! I’m thrilled to join such a talented group of artists and am having a blast working with the team. I hope everyone is doing well!!!
There is a small article about myself and Visual Development in issue 45 of 3D Artist Magazine! It can be picked up at a book store in print form OR it can be purchased digitally through the iTunes newsstand 3D Artist app.
Here is a laaate night photo of Josh (left), Duncan (behind camera), and I (right) assembling my “Mothers Milk” creature design. I sculpted the design digitally on a modified tablet PC, then cut each slice out of foam on Josh’s homemade CNC machine and it was later painted black for the studio gallery. Pretty cool eh? It was a big hit at the show, the kids really liked being able to stand next to it and it shows them what can be done with digital art fabrication.
A behind the scenes look at one of my Mothers Milk creatures coming to life from tomorrows Art Reactor Gallery Show.
CgCircuit has rolled out a few improvements which means my High Speed 3D Concept Art Video course has a few small updates!
Basically the sample videos are longer for all lessons and the preview plays the Intro which is really nice.
Sneak peek at some of my creature art from the gallery show this Saturday. This hand painted sculpture was printed on a homemade makergear 3D Printer. It’s about 12 inches tall including the marble base. I’ll try to take better pictures this weekend. This was just a quick photo of it sitting on my desk.
Check out the intro video for my new Visual Development training video available on CG Circuit.

A sculpture that I made using grey super sculpy clay, coal, plastic, wood and foam. I have plans down the road for this little guy. A good friend of mine Zac took the photos.
